Human Capital Resources, Inc. Releases Annual Report on Recruiting and Compensation in the Bank Investment Program Marketplace

Human Capital Resources, Inc., a national firm specializing in recruiting, candidate evaluations, and a wide range of sales and marketing services for financial services firms has released their annual report on recruiting and compensation in the bank channel.

"For the most part, we have seen a fairly strong pick up in the demand for experienced brokers in banks," stated Paul A. Werlin, President, Human Capital Resources, Inc. "And, as we have seen in prior years, it continues to be difficult to attract experienced and successful reps in most markets particularly in smaller cities and towns." Werlin continued, "Compensation for bank brokers has increased for top producers, particularly those generating $400,000 annual gross and above. The Federal Reserve Intervenes

Mike Larson takes a closer look at the global markets and how stock indexes from Hong Kong to London have been collapsing on fears of a bond insurance market meltdown. Mr. Larson examines the moves that the Federal Reserve has been taking towards interest rates.

The global markets have been in a freefall. While U.S. markets were closed for Martin Luther King Day, stock indexes from Hong Kong to London were collapsing on fears of a bond insurance market meltdown.

Then on January 22, the Federal Reserve took emergency action, slashing interest rates by 75 basis points. That was the single-largest interest rate cut going all the way back to 1984, and the first inter-meeting cut since right after 9/11. It kept U.S. markets from plunging into the abyss, but they still finished lower. And the very next day the Dow tanked 326 points before lunch. But the market suddenly reversed course. The Dow actually closed up nearly 300 points, capping a wild 5 percent intraday swing. All this happened because news leaked about more possible federal intervention in the mortgage market and a potential rescue package for the bond insurers.... (Continue reading)

Paraplegic Matt Strugar-Fritsch, 25 years old from Carmichael, California will ride his hand cycle 106 miles within 24 hours through beautiful Solano and Napa counties in Northern California. This will be Matt's first time attempting to go such a long distance in a short amount of time on his hand cycle since being injured in 2003. A very difficult feat for anyone but even more so for a paraplegic. However, he will not be alone on his journey. Matt's Mother, Father and Sister will join him in this adventure and will be riding their bikes the same distance. Matt feels "incredibly grateful to have their support especially since this is their first time doing an event like this".
