From Broad Street to Off-Broadway, the Story of the Neon Mans Death Benefits Mother and Son

Richmond playwright and performer, Slash Coleman, will present the New York premiere of his comedy, "The Neon Man and Me," off-Broadway at Teatro la Tea Theater in New York City on April 10th and April 22nd at 8:00pm. The one-man-show is a tribute to the life of his late best friend Mark Jamison, a neon artist from Roanoke, VA who was electrocuted two years ago as he was hanging a neon sign. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit the Jamison family.

A 2006 recipient of Style Weekly's, Top 40 under 40, award and a Groucho award winner for best one man show of 2005, the production is scheduled to appear on PBS later this year. So far, Coleman has used the production to raise $20,000 for non-profit organizations. In recent months, funded in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the show has grown to include a documentary film entitled, "Glow," and a high school curriculum entitled, "Healing Communities: Helping Students come to Terms with Bereavement, Tragedy and Loss."... Online Check Viewing Now Available for All Customers

The Payroll Company today announced that online access to pay stubs and pay history will be available for all customers. The company has been providing the option, called Online Check View, for three years to customers using the Online Human Resource service. Its success has prompted the company to open it to all customers.

With Online Check View business owners no longer need to mail pay stubs or distribute them by hand to employees, saving time, mail expenses, and paper. Survey Shows High Interest Rates Not Hitting Travel Plans -- Aussies Remain Committed to Holidaymaking

FSA PPI Tables Confuse Rather than Empower Consumers Says British Insurance

The long-awaited Financial Services Authority PPI comparison tables only serve to confuse consumers, rather than empower them, warns Simon Burgess from independent provider, British Insurance.

Designed to enable consumers to shop around for cover and identify products that can meet their needs, the tables were recently launched by the FSA in response to Competition Commission recommendations for more consumer information and greater clarity on costs.

However, Burgess believes the tables do not allow consumers to compare products on a like for like basis. He comments; "There are so many product variations with differing exclusions, terms and conditions, it's impossible to be able to collate the data in a way that allows consumers to cut the 'wheat from the chaff' and work out what's really a good deal."...
